My dad is turning 61 years old today. Being a dad is not always easy. Going through challenges in fatherhood gave me perspective on the exceptional example my earthly father has been to me. I am grateful for this and I give my heavenly Father all the honour and glory.

No weapon formed against us might prosper, yet we’re still at war, standing fully armoured knowing the One who fights for us, are not alarmed by any tactics of a kingdom not our own. I wrote this song about 3 years ago during a family crisis that shook my whole being in such a way that even the ground felt unsteady. I kept on thinking “I don’t know what to do?” over and over again. I felt lost for words. Until one day I found Jehoshaphat saying the exact same phrase. Only his didn’t end there. “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.” (2 Chronicles 20:12b). The story doesn’t end there. They kept their eyes on Abba Father through worship. The battle that day, and today, belonged not to the people but to Yahweh, the One who fight for us, and the One who is victorious. I found such hope in that phrase spoken thousands of years ago by a king who didn’t know what the outcome would be for the nation as they faced great danger. Yet, he chose to keep his eyes and heart fixed upon the King of Kings. Friend, would you do the same as we face times of great uncertainty? Will we, as Stephen being filled with the Spirit, choose to fix our eyes fully without wavering on Yeshua our Messiah? “But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, 56 and said, “Look! This song was written in early March 2017. I was spending time in Abba's presence and in His Word. Holy Spirit lead me to read Joel 2 and 3. While I read, I started hearing the melody in the Spirit. Joel 2 and 3 is a prophecy that many of God's children experienced during this season. We felt an urgency to get this word out for it is on Abba's heart for this time. May we prepare as Abba leads in this time.
